Our First Generation

Karen Wells

Born in St Charles, Illinois
Mother to Dean Swatkowski
She managed Brea Glass for 18 years. She perfected the family's customer service tradition. Karen purchased Sun City Glass in 1995 from her former husband Bob Swatkowski.  She owned and operated Sun City Glass for 15 years until she happily retired in 2010, to a become a full time Grandma of Valerie, Dustin and Riley and a Great Grandma to Makayla 5 years old and Hannah 5 months old. She still helps in Banning Glass with bookkeeping.

              Robert Swatkowski                

Born in Chicago, Illinois
Father to Dean Swatkowski

Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. In 1966 after serving in the Navy, he began Installing doors and windows.

He became his own boss when he opened Sun City Glass in 1985. Bob insisted on quality workmanship.  Bob had a Heart attack that caused him to retire early 1995.
Dad left us when we were not ready to let him go on October 13, 2011 of a stroke.
